Our lives belong in print - in things we can hold, put on a wall, and pass down the generations.

About Jennifer
I fell in love with photography when I received my first 35mm camera at 14. I took several courses in college and learned the art of black and white photography in the dark room. Then along came digital. Like most I resisted the change, I felt it wasn't real photography. I can honestly say now I wouldn't go back. I don't use software to make my images, I use software to develop my images much like I would in the dark room, but the creativity is endless.
I see the world in pictures, always composing in my head. If I am not working you will find me outside hiking or boating, with my dogs, my husband and always a camera. I have 3 grown children and 2 granddaughters. I think it is this stage in life when you really realize how valuable photos are. I look back on the years raising my kids and I don't feel like I have enough, it goes by so quickly. This is what has led me to starting my own lifestyle photography business. It has been something I have always wanted to do but life kept me busy documenting my own family life. Now my nest is empty and I have the time and opportunity to begin this journey of - creating moments, capturing memories.

I shoot with Canon full frame mirrorless cameras, the R5 and R6 and use RF L series lenses. I have just recently made the change over to mirrorless and oh what a change it has been! I am in love with this new technology. My choice in gear gives me the ability to produce high quality images from your shareable 8x10 to large frameable fine art prints. For more information on my gear choices see my "What's in my bag" blog post. I am also a proud member of Professional Photographers Association, the worlds largest photography trade association. This association provides me hours of continual training, certifications, and competitions to keep me constantly striving for excellence.
I aim to create pictures that will be invaluable to you in the future. Our lives move at warp speed, and since the internet and digital prints, our memories are becoming something we see in a Facebook feed. Maybe I am old school, but there is just something about a photo album. Sitting on the floor with your kids flipping through your memories. Our lives belong in print - in things we can hold, put on a wall, and pass down the generations.
Thank you again for exploring my work and taking the time to get to know a little about me. I look forward to working with you and your family - creating moments, capturing memories.
